Valentine

Tomorrow is my favorite day — my birthday, Valentine’s Day, and the one year anniversary of my mating day all wrapped up into one. I plan to spend the entire day in bed with my mate. He’s been gone on a mission for the last eight days, which means we have eight days of touching and loving and kissing to make up for.

The first few months after we mated, Mac couldn’t get enough of me. I thought his insatiable appetite was due to the fact that he had gone so long without physical release, but it turns out Mac is always turned on when he’s around me. I have to admit, I’m pretty much the exact same way. I still can’t look at him without getting a funny feeling inside. He’s so masculine, and beautiful, and mine all mine.

This past year has been incredible. I work from the Savannah base now, so Mac and I get to spend a lot more time together than most mates. Human couples might like their time away from their partners, but shifters crave contact with their mates. Working so close to one another gives us the opportunity to sneak off for stolen kisses and even storage room quickies when we can.

My time with Mac has opened me up to so many new things. He takes me out for little adventures on the weekend. In twelve months I’ve learned to ski, become an excellent crab fisher, and I can even clean my own fish.

He’s also turned me on to some new things in the bedroom. I wasn’t a virgin when I met Mac, but I wasn’t experienced by any means, either. The first time Mac requested to tie me up I was hesitant, but I tried it. He is my mate. I will do anything to please him. I was not prepared for how much more I would feel when my hands were bound. Not being able to touch my mate made all the other sensations I experienced one thousand times more intense. Since that first time, we’ve slowly added to our collection of bedroom toys. To anyone else, I’m a reserved, boring gal, but Mac knows otherwise.

To celebrate our special day, I made a cheesecake which has always been my favorite. After my first transition to wolf form, my body got leaner. Mac misses my big ass, although I still have plenty back there, believe me, but I love my leaner body. I’m still super curvy, just less likely to gain weight from overindulgence.

Mac’s never been much for sweets, but he does seem to enjoy feeding them to me. If I eat dessert at home, I lick it from his fingers while straddling his lap. He will occasionally eat a bite of cake or ice cream as long as he can use my body as the plate. Maybe if I’m lucky, this cheesecake will be put to good use.

I pull the chilled cake out of the refrigerator and snap the spring form edging off.
